We have a 3 stripped black and white damsel fish. Yes, she is an aggressive, fiesty creature, and she has always been all over the place in the tank. The last few days, she has been hiding in a little crevis in the rocks just moving back and forth a little bit. She won't even come out to eat. Her white stripes have all turned black/dark gray also. We havn't introduced anything into the tank for a while and have not rearranged or messed with anything in the tank, other than just regular water changes. Any ideas?

What are the water parameters?
Specifically salinity and temperature.

Have a voltmeter, to test for stray voltage?

Darkened color means stress of course. How long has this gone on? A couples days wont hurt but if it persist that is bad. Anything picking on her? And fins turn?

this is the 4th day. I figured to give it a couple days before posting or asking. None of the other fish have been messing with her. She is usually the head hancho in the tank.

That is weird after a year.

You have a chance to check the water like Garth mentioned and are you using a ground probe? That can help rule out stray voltage.
