So i saved this Damsel from my friend who had a 25 Gallon "Fish Only" Tank. He rarely did water changes, the tank was filthy infested with teal algae and worms. So i took the poor damsel and i want to put him in my 50 gal reef. But before i do so, i need to know 1. Will this fish be ok to mix with my Clown, Mandarin and 6 stripe Wrasse? 2. how will i ensure it wont bring any ick or any outbreak in my tank.

Don't put that in your tank. Trade it in or donate it to your local fish store.
They will terrorize all other tank mates and stress out and kill the rest.
DO NOT put any damsels in your reef tank. You will regret it when your other fish end up dead

aw man Thanks for letting me know.

It was hard to determine whether this type of damsel was ok to mix with my other fish. I keep getting different opinions. Some say the have damsels and clowns by putting them in at the same time. Some say its ok with plenty of hiding places. Although its a beautiful fish i will not take the risk so im going to put him in a divider for now.

was he introduced first to the tank or all at the same time?

I just read Azures are the fairly aggressive ones too. how big is your tank?

See how it goes if you don't like him take him to the shop

Actually wont need to do anything anymore..Im so mad at myself right now..I put the damsel in the tank and he was doing fine with the rest of the fish. I got about 20lbs of live rock to add to my tank, and as i was rearranging the rocks, a big rock that was stacked collapsed and crushed my wrasse and the damsel at same time! smh

What!? Well for future reference don't put damsels in your tank and those 6line wrasses don't get along with any other wrasses and are aggressive also.
There's an old saying in saltwater that is "if it's cheap, don't put it in your tank"

+1 True.

The damsel and wrasse have no fear..Even with a big rock falling they wont move out the way.

I've heard lots of stories of fish being crushed by rock. Funny when I try to catch one they always move very quickly
