Hi everyone, my damsel recently injured his eye and now has popeye but I am not sure if he can see with the other eye clearly. This may be the reason why he is not eating though but I am wondering how do i feed my damsel with popeye if he is not eating? Thanks in advance

Can you post a short video?
Do you have a treatment tank you can move it to?

Thanks for the reply. I attached a short video below of my damselfish. I do have a treatment tank but i try not to put my fish inside that unless it is a serious or contagious illness because most of the time when i put my fish inside, it is almost a guaranteed death. I always make sure the ph and salinity is the same before acclimating the fish to go inside.

Yes - that is most likely injury-induced popeye. Unusual though, because most fish will still feed ok in this condition.

The standard treatment is erythromycin (Maracyn 1) in a treatment tank, It doesn't always work, and sometimes, these eye issues resolve on their own, but it is the best choice for an antibiotic to try and prevent secondary bacterial infections in eye issues.
