damsel trying to host in Duncan coral.

So i have had this damsel in my tank about 6 months. This past weekend i added a brain coral and a Duncan. After 45 min or so the duncan started to reopen and then my black damsel took notice and come over and started to swim back and forth through the Duncan. Rubbing on it and almost massaging it with his fins just like you would see a clown do to an anemone. After a bit he left it alone and has not done it that i have seen in 2 days. Duncan is now fully open and happy. Anyone else ever seen this behavior?

They are close cousins to clown fish , some host just the same in the wild.

Actually Clowns are damsels........there are quite a few species of Damsels that will do this....perfectly normal

It was kinda cool to see as i dont have a place for my clown to host

Well the damsel is gunna have to go.. He has now gone to nipping at the duncan and it closes up every time the dmasel nipps. Now i have to catch him..
