I received this (already fully quarantined) fish a week ago and he had a small white nick on him that has progressively grown larger.
I have put him into my own quarantine tank 2 days ago and have done the following:
Prozipro - dosed 2 days ago
Furon 2 - 2 does so far
Kanaplex - 1 does yesterday (this is suppose to last three days)

So far no visual improvement. That said he eats and acts normal. Any suggestions on anything else I should be trying? Also any thoughts on how long I should run these protocols?

thanks

That’s a tough one. Would you say the growth is additive or subtractive? What I mean is; does the growth seem thicker than the fish’s body, or does it seem eroded away? Bacterial infections tend to erode fish tissue, but a rare external fungal infection seems to add depth to the skin (due to the adding of the fungal mass).
Formalin dips at 100 ppm for 45 minutes each day would be the treatment if it is fungus. For bacteria, you would continue as you have been.

this is definitely additive! What formalin product do you recommend for the bath?

That’s the trouble - getting formalin is tough due to shipping restrictions. I get mine from Carolina Biological. You can’t use 10% buffered formalin, that is toxic.
I think you can use Paraguard as a dip, it contains a different aldehyde.

and is Seachem KANAPLEX not good enough for fighting fungus?

No - that is an antibiotic, treats bacterial infections. Malachite green would work, but it is difficult to dose, and must be used as a dip in this case as well.
