Danco 88693 Silicone Faucet Grease

[Downfall]

Any concerns using this silicon grease for assembling a Red Sea Reefer XL 300 o-rings and for us on RODI o-rings? I will be using very tiny amounts, just enough to lubricate dry o-rings during assembly. I want to make sure I'm not over looking something that isn't reef safe.

According to a MSDS I found it looks like its:
85-95% Dimethyl Polysiloxane
5-15% Silicon Dioxide

NSF 61 approved for FDA regulation 21

Kinematic Viscositie: 20 cSt-40°C

It says 100% Pure Silicone Sintetic
Not toxic and Chemically Inert.

This is the formulation:
(CH3)3SiO[(CH3)2SiO]n-Si(CH3)3

That sounds pretty liquidy (nonviscous). What are you going to do with it?

My concern is not the chemical natural, but the issue of having hydrophobic droplets that may get suspended in the water, coat some things, maybe pop bubbles in a skimmer.

It is for the wetside of a vortech MP40 and MP60.
