Hi I was just wondering if it's normal to see what looks like dandruff in tank after adding prazipro. I added to tank about 8 hours ago. All coral and everything looks fine. I added to tank as a preventive and I think my oldest fish is starting to get a cloudy eye but very hard to tell. About 6 months ago I lost a Foxface and rabbit fish. Fox face first then rabbit fish. Died 3 months apart. They both went from healty and eating to dead on 48 hours from time I noticed anything wrong. Anyway so after reading and asking questions. Prazipro seemed like something I should try just to remove any worms that may be around. So 8 hours after dosing my tank looks like it has dandruff. I swear I read something that mentioned it but I can't find it. Thanks

thanks it's not real bad. Just allot of little white specks in water colom. Again all inhabitants look fine and are still eating

Maybe it's working and your seeing dead parasites??

That's kinda what I am hoping. I swear I read that some one else said the same thing but can't find the thread

Might be killing some of your pods. Flukes are opaque in SW, they only turn white when exposed to FW.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks for advice. I need to start a qt but not everyone in the house is understanding of the hobby.

So, I have a VERY large desjardini sailfin at the store right now. He had black ick (which is a worm treated with prazi). I wasn't aloud to put prazi in this reef tank so I used freshwater dips. After the freshwater removed the parasites from the fish (he was absolutely covered in them) he looked really ragged for a few days. I did another 7 days later and a month later he's looking amazing again. I tell you this story because he did look kinda like he had a dandrufy look to him right after. Now, you didn't do a freshwater dip, but maybe he was covered in flukes or flatworms of some sort and when the prazi caused them to spasm and die it left him looking rather ragged like the sailfin did. It's just a thought, but maybe just give them some time to heal over. Watch for infection.

Is that a typo? Did you mean tang instead of tank? That would make more sense, this one went over my head I guess lol. I thought you meant like it was snowing in your tank.
