Ok so if any of you guys commented on my post or anything you know I had a black snowflake clown that got into it with my other clown during the night and it's jaw was dislocated. Well a few days ago I turned the lights on and he/she didn't make it unfortunately. So today I went and got another clown smaller in size compared to the white flurry clown I have. And as soon as the new clown got introduced my white flurry started freaking out glass surfing and all. Should I give it a few days and see what happens or take the new clown back in exchange for something different like a citron gobby or a six line wrasse the LFS has healthy fish of those I just said. If anybody has any suggestions or tips please let me know. Thanks! Happy reefing

Use acclimation box

Ok I will look into purchasing one. Thank you
It helps with loads of fish. With clowns adding one can be iffy. Rule of thumb buy a clown smaller than yours. Better chance that its a male. If its been in the lfs by itself for a period of time it could have changed to female. Aclimation box helps.

I made sure to get a smaller clown. Than the one I already have. This clown from the LFS has no nipped fins from.other clowns it was with and looked very healthy. I turned all lights off in the room. I will turn lights back on in a little. If this doesn't work. I will be getting a acclimation box and if that doesn't work I guess I will have to return the clown and get things like citron gobby or six line wrasse because my flurry clown is a anxiety mess ball lol

+1 on using acclimation box, helps keep stress and aggression to a minimum and you can always put the bigger clown in the acclimation box for a couple of days to let the new guy settle in.

Ok will definitely check into getting one. I will post on this thread and keep you guys updated on how it goes. Thank you

Aggression from the white flurry clown has calmed down alot. Blacked out the tank for rest of the day yesterday and all night and turn lights on this morning and sometimes the clowns will swim with eachother. Doing alot better than the black snowflake I had who got the dislocated jaw from sparring. This new clown sleeps worse then my other. Turned lights on and he was standing on his head in the corner of the tank. Thankfully after experiencing this with the other clowns and their goofy sleeping habits I knew not to freak out. Everyone's doing good as of now so fingers crossed it stays this way.

Maybe a hosting coral would help some more? I know my girl loves her ricordea rock, doesn’t leave it alone and refuses to let me near it. Also, what species of clown are the white flurry and the other clown? Sometimes percula can be a nightmare to bond, I have a Black photon which is a hybrid between the Percula and Occelaris but I’m pretty sure she killed her previous two mates (Both black photons).
