Many years ago I had powerheads on a Reverse flow This guy got it self stuck in one of them and Tore it self The poison that came out of him was so toxic that it wiped out all my fish within a few minutes So if you have one of these I would be very careful near your flow pumps Or anything that could damage it

Why would you chance it?

I agree. It seems that they don't belong in tanks.

12g Nanoreef. Zooanthids, Ricordia, Star Polyps and two clownfish. CF Lighting, 75% actinic blue, 25% 10,000k white.

As I say it was many years ago 30 years + There was no Internet or forum you just had reference books the reason I bought one I found it fascinating and interesting to watch you say why would you want one is like saying why would you want Marines
people like your self choose Marines because of the unusual things you can buy that makes it interesting to watch And I would like To say in most reference books they don't mention If they get damaged they release toxins into the water they only say filter feed and reef safe keep away from aggressive fish
