Hey guys, my name's Danny and I'm a brand new member here, first of all a massive G'day from Australia, there is some really cool stuff going on here at reef2reef. So I've had this AquaOne Nano Reef 35 all in one running for just over 14 months now and things seem to be going well (for now).

This was before the new light - Haven't taken many since it arrived - Will get on that :S

All the equipment that I've been running (until very recently) is everything that came with it as stock, here is what I'm running at the moment:

Aqua One Nano Reef 35
Aqua One Pro Skim 40 - it gets a bad rap but I've had no trouble with mine
Aqua One 55w glass heater
Aqua Syncro Wavemaker HWM 2000
Aqua One 500LPH pump (changed from a 200LPH)
Illumagic Comboray G2 18W LED unit (changed from MariGlo 15W unit)

I've also got an Innovative Marine Minimax Desktop Reactor on the way so I'll let post an update once that's here. As far as stock goes I have:

Live stock:
1 x Clown fish
1 x Flame Goby
1 x Green Coral Goby (although may as well not as I never bloody see him)
1 x Blue Velvet Damsel
1 x Coral Banded Shrimp

I did have a few Hermits but traded them back as they kept knocking corals over left right and center.

Corals:
1 x Bubble Coral - Plerogrya Sinuosa
1 x Hammer Coral - Euphyllia Ancora
1 x Torch Coral - Euphyllia Glabrescens
1 x Brain Coral - TrachyPhyllia
1 x Meat Coral - Acanthophyllia Deshayesiana
4 x Acan Coral - Acanthastrea Echinata
2 x Red Mushrooms - Discosoma
2 x Blue Mushrooms - Discosoma
1 x Finger Leather Coral - Sinularia Notanda
1 x Duncan Coral (six heads - I think) - Duncanopsammia Axifuga
Multiple Star Polyp Corals - Briareum Sp

So as you can probably tell I'm pretty full, I may add some smaller corals here and there but I just wanted to share it with you guys in case anyone had any ideas. I'd be keen to know any photography tips as for taking picture of corals fish etc and I may invest in a decent camera. Below are some random videos I took on my iphone, all of these are before the new light was added:

Anyway, that's it from me for now, thanks for checking out my tank and hope you liked it :) :) :)

Looking good so far,how is the new light treating the tank ?
Thanks Steven, it's going great, it really is night and day (no pun intended) better than the stock one. I might do a review on it as I couldn't find any when I was concidering buying it, is that something you guys would be interested in?

oh wow,
perfect nano. I love the layout you chose to go with it.
10/10
Thank you :)

I'm still tinkering to find the perfect positions for everything but for the time being I'm trying to keep my hands out of the tank for a while as I think I've upset a few corals moving things round :( The torch and the bubble have really retracted since they were moved :( I'm hoping they'll be ok, they usually are.

Looks like you have around 100x turnover rate? I do as well in my 10gal, but have been afraid that it is too much. Corals seems happy, clownfish seems happy, but ive always worried its too much. Whats your experience?

I've never had an issue, I'm just super vigilant with everything, testing, water changes etc. I think a lot of issues that occur for hobbyists (not everyone) is due to neglegance and poor husbandry. I just feel if youre prepared to spend the money to get into the hobby, you should be prepared to invest your time to do it properly. I love it :)

I've added as much flow as I possibly can without stressing everything out and I think I'm at the limit, I changed my 200lph pump to a 500lph and the wave maker is something similar. But yeah, everything seems to be great, no problems. I just prefer more flow. Each to their own I guess:)
