Please read here before posting. Outside comments are not permitted per R2R's feedback forum policy. This is to allow the buyer and seller to have a streamlined conversation and hopefully come to a mutually satisfactory resolution in a negative transaction. So about a week and a half ago I saw a post for a single head of “wwc holy grail” for sale by @danreefman. I noticed he had many sale threads dating back many years and did not see any type of feedback negative or positive so I figured chances are I was safe to purchase. After a few messages back and forth we agreed on a price of $900. Dan advised me that the torch was recently fragged and needed about a weeks time to heal but he would ship it out on Monday 8/7/19. I paid on 9/26/19. I messaged Dan the night before it was supposed to be shipped to confirm all was good and he told me that all was good and he would send me tracking info when he shipped it. Monday night rolls around and nothing from Dan so I message him and he says that he got caught with with stuff and would not be able to ship until the next day. I tell him that would be ok but to make sure it was sent because I wanted to make sure I’d be home when it arrived. And that was the last I heard from him. I tried messaging him Tuesday afternoon with no response. I continued to message him multiple times and then I get a notification from PayPal stating a refund was issued. That’s great and all but now I gotta wait 30 days for that refund to process because I used a credit card on PayPal and I have no coral to show for it. My guess is he sold it to someone else for a higher price and chose to back out of our deal. Bad business practice.
While I’m glad I’m getting a refund it’s still a horrible way to do business. This is the first time I’ve tried buying something from a fellow reefer on here and this has put a horrible taste in my mouth. So now I can’t even try and buy another from someone until that money clears back.

It's not the first time I didn't make a shipment on time. I am human in a very unpredictable world. I own a construction company as well. This is just my hobby. I have to wait all the time. It was you saying how disappointed you were in me. Also your impatience turned me off. Makes you seam like in some way you're going to be a problem. When I get a text at 1:30 on the afternoon on Tuesday asking, any update. I think to myself I don't have time for your impatience and no one ever tells me they're disappointed. They usually just wait till the next time they're available, for me to ship. If I miss the first time I don't miss second chance. I really just had a bad longer than expected Monday, 45 min from my house.

Needless to say, sorry for any trouble.

Daniel

You say you don’t miss the second chance, and yet you did. And instead you ghost and don’t reply at all. It’s a $900 purchase which may not be much to you but to me it is. I want to know when my stuff I paid for over a week ago will get to me. I was very patient during that week. I only messaged once asking how the torch was healing and thanking you for the picture. I understand people have lives and stuff happens. Doesn’t mean I can’t be disappointed about it. Of course I’m disappointed. My $900 torch didn’t ship when it was supposed to. I don’t know who wouldn’t be disappointed in that. And now I have to wait 30 days to get my refund as well.

As soon as I saw your message asking any updates. I sent a refund right than. Just went off my gut. Sorry it didn't work out. Maybe I'm wrong. Still have to trust my gut. It has gotten me this far.

Personally I'd refrain from buying coral on a credit card.

Also people don't generally ship out till around 5:00. At least I don't, so it doesn't have to stay in shipping as long. So the any updates at 1:30. When I'm racing to get done and get home early to be sure your package gets out. Pretty annoying. On top of being a disappointment. Like your my father or something. You started the sale after you payed saying a week is the longest I've ever waited for coral. And than all these in between messages asking for update pics over the week. It all added up to you seeming like a problem, and me refunding your money.

No hard feelings.

And one more time. Sorry

One message on R2R at 130 in the afternoon asking for an update is not an absurd request? He could have said “yeah I’m on my way home to take care of it right now”. That would have been super easy. Also he’s making it seem like I hounded him via text message. The only platform I used for messaging him is R2R. And I don’t know about dan but I don’t get notifications telling me someone messaged me except for one email. I’m also not the type to message someone if I’m not interested in paying right away. We agreed upon a price and within 30 mins of messaging the item was paid for. I don’t know but that seems like a pretty good buyer. Also I never said a week was the longest I’ve ever waited for a coral. I said that week would be the longest week of my life.... and that’s because of the anticipation and excitement of receiving a coral I’ve been trying to find for a long time. But either way take this how you will. Buyer beware. Seller beware if you feel as such.

Lol. Buyers beware. You could get a refund.

Like at work, I pick my clients as much as they're picking me. My guys always ask where do you get your clients? They're all awesome! I wouldn't have them work for anyone I wouldn't.

To much anxiety (sometimes comes off as untrusting). Untrusting will get a refund

Unappreciative of the deal I'm giving. Like asking for more after I'm already giving you my leg. Gets a refund

If I feel you're a vendor and going to take my good deal and chop it up into profit. Just might get a refund.

Or just playing and simply my gut is saying no.

I'm done now. This is ridiculous.

I hope you find what you're looking for.

So basically what you’re saying is, you take people’s money and tell them they are going to get something but then you get a “bad gut feeling” and you decide they don’t get the item you took money for and issue a refund? Sounds like awful business. So yeah buyers beware. You could end up thinking you bought something but now your money is tied up for a month. Good luck

Also you bought on a credit card. It wasn't your money to begin with.

Now I feel like a broken record.

Okay I'm done.

I'll just say dan went out of his way to make it possible for me to get one of these beauties. The best price I've ever seen in a world of ridiculous greedy pricing on these. He let me make payments. He communicated well, gave updates and shipped professionally. I would buy from him again and recommend him to others.
