So about a week and a half ago I saw a post for a single head of “wwc holy grail” for sale by @danreefman. I noticed he had many sale threads dating back many years and did not see any type of feedback negative or positive so I figured chances are I was safe to purchase. After a few messages back and forth we agreed on a price of $900. Dan advised me that the torch was recently fragged and needed about a weeks time to heal but he would ship it out on Monday 8/7/19. I paid on 9/26/19. I messaged Dan the night before it was supposed to be shipped to confirm all was good and he told me that all was good and he would send me tracking info when he shipped it. Monday night rolls around and nothing from Dan so I message him and he says that he got caught with with stuff and would not be able to ship until the next day. I tell him that would be ok but to make sure it was sent because I wanted to make sure I’d be home when it arrived. And that was the last I heard from him. I tried messaging him Tuesday afternoon with no response. I continued to message him multiple times and then I get a notification from PayPal stating a refund was issued. That’s great and all but now I gotta wait 30 days for that refund to process because I used a credit card on PayPal and I have no coral to show for it. My guess is he sold it to someone else for a higher price and chose to back out of our deal. Bad business practice.
While I’m glad I’m getting a refund it’s still a horrible way to do business. This is the first time I’ve tried buying something from a fellow reefer on here and this has put a horrible taste in my mouth. So now I can’t even try and buy another from someone until that money clears back.
