Hej guys i need some help here,

i got a rsm e170 that i started 2 months ago, cycle lasted 10 days and then i moved my clown fish from the other tank.
I used dead marco rocks to scape the tank.
Im using hydra 26 light, it has been running strong with my 14 frags these last 2 months.

lately ive noticed when lights are out that all of my rocks that the light hits ive got a kind of dark green color algae, it reall cant be scrubed
and it has no threads or any nuisance look to it.
My po4 managed to get zeroed out and i was afraid of dinos, after the small diatom bloom i had dinos appeared on the sand mostly.
i raised my po4 to 0.06 in about 3 days, dinos started to go back.

I need help indentifying this algae i got, it is green when lights are out when my normal livingroom light is on, but when the hydra 26 is on it looks more brown yellowish
and just like green coralline, it cant be scrubbed off with force.

my params:
mag: 1440
ca 425
kh 9.3 - 9.6 during the day cycle
no2 0
no3 5-10
po4 0.05 trying to keep it there
25.5 degres celcius

Looks like green coraline to me. It usually gives way to pink and purple but if green is the only one in your tank - you get green. I like it. It doesn't like bright light as I recall. You must have your hydra dialed just right.

I got different shades of purple on snails and crawlers, fragplugs and an all purple rock.
Today I'm going to seed it with a big piece of purple coralline from my LFS. How do I dial it in with the best settings cause I really want the purple look

Your lights settings should be for your corals. If you have purple in there it will overun the green eventually and in fact the green is a great base for it. I would say keep doing what you are doing.

Thank you that is really reassuring to hear, I've searched all over the forums and was trying to identify that algae, couldn't come to a conclusion to if it really was green Coraline.

I'm glad it's going good and i think my Parameters are so steady it makes me smile, i got a new acropora today i feel ready and comfortable putting it in. It already has polyp extension just after a few minutes

I'm skeptical about this being green coralline. My vote is that it's just some green microalgae. I suggest that you beef up your cuc.

This is film algae and as indicated, where the light hits. Generally more when a tank is at or near a window and the spot gets hit with sun and its UV.
Reduce white light intensity and cleaners such as pin cushion urchin, astrea snail, nerite snail and turbo snail will help control this. Also Emerald crab but I never trust those things!

You guys might be right, hence it only places itself where the light hits. I did take down my white light to 5% at the peak of the day to slowly kill of cyano or at least kick them back. Wich i think I've managed to do.

I got 2 eremit snails that are working really hard, 5 astra snails, 5 other snails that have a long mouth or something they pick algae with. I also have 7 snails that bury them selves in the Sandbed and are rarely seen with lights on.

Do you think I need more of them?

Just now i seeded a big chunk of Coraline algae from my LFS and im eagarly waiting for it to start popping up. So far I have a bit of Coraline on one powerhead and a bit on the black background but nothing on the rock itself.
