Dark green spots on glass

Just curious as to what this is coralline algae or another kind of algae...and is it good or bad?

Not at all they dont move its something growing on the glass it dosnt come off when i run the magnet over them

use a razor blade and try to scrape, it it's hard to come off and comes off in tiny flakes then it's probably calerous - aka coralline.

And obviously i want corolline right...but how come its only popping up on glass and not rocks or sand?

It’s gotta start somewhere! I had it first on my back glass then started getting on everywhere. If your rocks have algae it takes longer for the coralline to grow.

I think it is caroline algae as well. I have something like this in my tank as well although i also have the purple one. I don’t think you can control where they happen to grow.... but I believe soon you should have it in the rocks as well

If it is coralline, you can scrape it off, crumble it up, drop it in some flow, and hope it catches on the rocks.

You could help the coralline by brushing your rocks and keeping them clean.

Just curious, why would you say flatworms? I've started getting these spots about a month ago.

Pic #4 has me thrown off , it looks like a flat worm,maybe it was a reflection but I never seen algea growin the same shape to resemble a flatworm.

I'd say algae and bacterial growth, phosphates alittle high? TDS bit on the high side? What kind of water are you using?
