Dark Phoenix PE success after my first fail.

YES! Thanks! good to hear they're getting around! BTW SICK AVATAR!!!!

YES! I'm loving mine. it gives a very balanced representation of what corals look like naturally. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing the pop and colors come out so i figured that it would be a bonus seeing them under actinics or LEDs!

Whats the secret to keeping these SecretReefer? My polyp turned blah and doll, lts definitely healthy, just lost most of its color :(

i keep mine high up like 1.5 feet slightly on the side from direct light of my 14k phoenix 250w halides. medium flow. i have 1 tunze 6025, 2 tunze 6055 and 1 mp40w es in my tank pretty much flowing 24/7. i dose code A + code B+ 2x a day, i dose mag every other day, 3 drops iodine every day, vit-c every other day and amino acids every 3 days. my light cycle is 6am-1030am reefbrites all blue, 11am-5pm halides, 11am-330pm T5 x2 ATI purple plus, 530pm-11pm reefbrites all blue.

Awesome, thanks for all the info! I'll slowly start raising them little by little.

no problemo! most PE's in my experience like high light and medium flow. it's just getting them to that point that's the battle. also if you get algae growth on the polyp i found that if you cut mr clean magic eraser ORIGINAL (not scented or with soap added) into smaller triangle shaped pieces it works wonders on cleaning the tougher algae off the polyp and in between polyps without damaging them.

nice. My colony don't have babies until I moved it to high light. I saw few babies already. bright Paly so far.

thanks D! yep, PE's love light. I've only found 1 type so far that is a low light type that retains its colors.
