Darth Maul Favia Color loss

Hi, my Darth Maul Favia seems to have completely list all of its yellow color and is now just a dark red color. It seems to be quite swollen (fat) and the tentacles do come out for eating.
1- Do Favias change colors in different tanks?
2- Is there something wrong with my Favia? Perhaps water parameters or is it getting stung?

Mine did the exact same thing.
Can't tell you precisely why. My tank is in its first year also and has had some little swings of this and that. The favia never went downhill after getting red and fat though. Some weeks later it went back to being quite yellow with red accents. Hazarding a TOTAL guess, it might be reacting to a change in nitrate and/or phosphate levels. That's what I've had the most variability with. FWIW, it seemed to have encrusted and grown more once it stopped being so puffy.
