Let's bro out sometime bro!
How do you feel about the spread from the Radion? According to Ecotech one Radion is only enough for 24"x24". Do you use the new wide-angle lens?

So I'm getting ready to switch off my reefbreeders to the radion G3 pros. I will be doing 2 over a 6' tank, with a center brace. If the spread is really 30 x 30, I should be fine. What are your thoughts, what have your experiences been with any other lights? Thanks in advance for sharing!
Nice!! What are the dimensions of the tank? This is a 36x24x18 and just one of the Gen 3 pros covers it really really good with just the stock lenses, You could always upgrade to the wide angle lenses if need be for about $30 i believe, I have been a huge halide fan since I came into this hobby and still love metal halide but I have a couple buddy's that have the Gen 2 pros and Iv seen how well they can grow and color up coral so I was happy to finally make the switch, Aqua illumination has awesome fixtures as well you might wanna look into the new hydra 52s there pretty nice lights to, Personally Radion pro is the only led unit I would use now just because I know what they can do, Not to mention there always upgradeable and ecotech has the best customer service in the game and that is huge to me.
Thanks, I appreciate your candid, and quick reply. The evergrows are actually my first LED's as well, and I'm growing SPS like wildfire. There's always "If it aint' broke, don't fix it," but I can't help but wonder if I could get better growth. I really like the concept of using the reef link to control lights and flow via wireless. I understand the price tag comes with the bells and whistles, but I don't want to make the switch and be disappointed, hence why I was wondering what your LED experience is!

Awesome. Again, I appreciate your quick response! Looking forward to watching this build move further along!
I don't think you can go wrong with the radions or the hydra 52's.
Seeing as they are now merged i don't think it matters either way.... I was going with radions at first but went with the hydra 52 for the increased coverage and it doesn't hurt that it comes in white to match my setup either.
I can say I like the hydra right now over my brute holding my rocks so it can only get better once my tank arrives![]()
Great setup man! My tank is almost the same dimensions, except mine is 24'' tall instead. I am close to being done with getting it up and running, and this is giving me some good inspiration!
Beautiful tank, and I really loved the sump. Thanks for sharing![]()
