very cool. ball nems are cool critters, I've got one larger one and several little baby ones in my tank.. hungry little guys too, easily accept food..

Ha! I thought that 60gal was a Nano tank!!!
400gal?!?!
Also your coral colonies are huge for less than 4 months of growth!

They've been growing for some time waiting for the 400g to show up. Frags became colonies as they simmered in a "temporary" 215g. I am seeing good growth already in the 400g.

Here's what the tank looked like last October.

The refugium is a big part of my sump. 58" x 6" x 12" full of feather caulerpa with a DSB.

That is some black foam that I found at Hobby Lobby for $0.99 a sheet. They are the size of placemats, and I have them affixed to the light with velcro.

I didn't know what these were until I saw this post. I have several, and have removed a few that I could get to. I guess they're not that bad?

They are pretty nocturnal in my tank, although I can find a few that are open during the day time. They seem to share the space in the tank and don't appear to harm other neighboring corals. I've had some that lives in zoas and would open at night when the zoas were closed, and vice versa.

No they aren't bad, they're more closely related to mushrooms than anemones. They don't move (they aren't photosynthetic), don't spread or grow very fast, and really don't do much stinging that I've seen. They're also more of a night critter, they dwell in dark areas.. Cool to have, but I wouldn't say they are bad or good, just there.
