Honestly id just dump in another oversized bottle of bacteria like bio spira. That way it will for sure be fine and you can do a water change a few days later
Would you recommend bio spira over Dr Tim’s I’ll order one of them tomorrow if ammonia is still high

Try another test kit. Or on another sample of water with a known quantity of ammonia. I have a feeling this is an error with the test or testing for whatever reason unless the first one was a fluke and the bottle of bacteria was a dud
I also seen the same increase in ammonia using microbacter. As well a friend of mine, at the exact same time. I was using API, he used Red Sea.

I would recommend Fritz 9, or turbostart 900. Fritz 9 can be bought on amazon. Turbostart is "supposed" to be refrigerated, but the bottle says it can be unrefrigerated for a while, and endure some temporary high temperatures. I used Fritz 9, as did my friend. 1/27 my ammonia was still 2 ppm, 1/28 it was 0.5, 1/30 it was 0. Others might have other recommendations, and most likely more experience. It's just what worked for me. brandon429 might join in here for this one.

Thanks a lot gonna add Fritz 9 to the cart will listen to other ideas if u guys have any

To be clear. I’m not trying to tell you what to do, or give the notion that I know more than someone else here. I am however giving you my experience, what I did, and what my end results were. Fritz 9 is what I put in my own tank, purchased with my own money. I have only ever used it, 900, and microbacter xlm, and 7. Fritz has been the only one to provide me with results based on the API test kit I was using.

I wish they would say what species are in it

I appreciated the help

I do too. I’m pretty sure they’re just labeled as enzymes on the bottle.
This video talks a lot about bacteria, and cycles. Also leads me to believe that they might not know what’s in it lol.
Will send updates Friday after I add the fritz 9

I would HIGHLY recommend getting the Turbostart 900 instead of the 9…let me reiterate, highly…I know it’s more expensive, especially if you can’t find it locally since you will need to pay for higher service shipping becuase if the temp requirements but it will save you time and hassle in the long run

Maybe two hours after adding the fritz9, hoping levels drop down more tomorrow as they are still high.Only things I have been running in tank is my power head and canister
