Has anyone set up their heaters to reflect a sunny summer day water temp and then turn off their heaters at night to reflect the cooler night time temperatures?
I was thinking of using 2 heaters. The first one set at 79 F as a day time temperature which would turn on automictically when the sun rises and then turn off when the sun sets. When the heater turns off at sunset time, then I would let the temp in the tank fall naturally during the night. A second heater would be set at around 77.8 to make sure the temperature does not fall much below 79 F during the night time hours. The purpose would be to simulate a natural day time vs a natural night time temp change instead of one stead temperature.
