Dc flow pumps

Is it bad or will it shorten there life span it ran at 100% continuously

Vs running them at say 50% continuously? 'probably' shorten lifespan.... but I wouldn't be concerned about it. If you find the need to run it at max, I'd probably think about buying a larger one in the future though...... just to give yourself wiggle-room.

I currently run at 80% but was thinking of upping my flow for the purpose of flow

You don't need a ton of flow through the sump. I'd add a powerhead to the tank before turning up the flow in the sump

I normally run my DC pumps at 100% - have not seen any issues with that.
