So, I've just gotten the cycle started in my WB Peninsula 25, and it's been ages since my last tank so I'm relearning a lot of stuff.

The stock pump that came with it is a little loud and I was looking for good options for a DC pump that would fit in the pump chamber (3.1" × 4.6" footprint), if anyone has suggestions I'd appreciate it.

Also I bought an Icecap 2k gyre pump for additional circulation in the tank but this thing is INCREDIBLY loud right out of the box. I've read that people have had similar experiences, but I'm not sure if there's a way to fix this. If it is fixable, how do I do it?

How loud? This loud.

Love mine!
These pumps are a hidden gem. I have the 4000 for my nano build and I'll probably buy the larger one as a backup for my main display. 0-10v control out of the box and several options for fittings are included, plus auto shut off float switch and intake guard. I've seen pumps more than twice the price that come with less.
