Hey everyone. My Jebao DC1200 pump is getting to where it won't restart unless I manually turn the impeller. I really like the idea of the DC pumps but the Jebao ones seem to not be very reliable. Are there any better ones in a similar price range? Or are the newer curs ions better? I'm willing to pay a little more for quality but if it's too much more I'll probably just get a regular pump.

you can also try a 24v powersupply with a higher amperage rating. usually work on dc anything and is usually the problem

I went with a Waveline pump when I replaced my Mag. Very quite and it runs great with my apex.

Well, I'm running it off of a MeanWell supply that has a much higher output so that's definitely not the problem. I had the stock power supply burn out twice.

I also went with a Waveline, very quite and works well. One of these day I will get setup with my Apex, as soon as I figure out how to do it;)

Very easy to do...you program just like a vortech...just find the % to match your overflow volume...maybe tweak the drain a bit.

I stick with the jebao, with a monthly or bimonthly vinegar bath the stay working fine for me.

Mike I'm on the same boat right now but I been reading a lot about all the dc pumps and for the most part I don't see any reported issues with the royal exclusiv or Abyss. I seen reported issues with all others. Some issues have been reported with the Vectra about a loud constant sound which has hold me back from them. A good old ac pump like the askol or eheim can't be beaten. And in reality why do we need a controllable return pump? I understand the functions for a close loop.
