DC return pump power

Interested in replacing my eheim 1262 with one of Neptunes Cor return pumps. I plan to run the pump around 800-900 gph which is less than max on both pumps. I am wondering if the efficiency would be better if I was using the core 20 instead of the 15? would it use less power, create less heat etc.

The cor 15 and cor 20 are the same pump. The 15 is powered off your apex and won’t work without one. The cor 20 comes with its own power supply giving it the extra power and the ability to run without an apex.
