DD solution refractometer for hypo

Hi all,
I want to try out hypo for my new fish and was wondering since i have DD refractometer which only goes down to 1.015 sg could i calibrate ro di water to 1.015 and bring the tank salinity to 1.023-1.024?

I do not know if you will be physically able to "miscalibrate" it so far that RO/DI reads 1.015, but if you could then a solution with a sg of 1.009 will read about 1.024.
