Following on from this thread;


I thought it would be interesting to try it in smaller volumes (coke bottle) in a 13 gallon, and with a skimmer input. I’ve gotta be quick though. This tanks being replaced very soon.

The tank and base line pH at 11.15hrs;

Another baseline will be done later at lights out.

Can you post a good shot of your kalk slurry container, showing how it is setup?

The small version was very poor, even with a rolling boil of the kalk slurry. I’ve since found that using a regular high quality air stone is more effective, and may well work in a nano. However, I’ve run out of time on the tiny tank and am only now experimenting on a 60gallon, as in the link above. Hopefully I’ll revisit this one day. Thanks for the interest.
