Hello Everyone,

I'm going to be setting up my calcium reactor pretty soon and would like to know how i can deactivate my ORP probe on my apex and add an additional PH probe.

I'm hoping someone can help as this is my first rodeo.

Thanks

I am not sure if that is possible. You may just have to add a PM1 module to add a 2nd PH probe.

The full Apex 2016 allows you to interchange the ORP port as a 2nd pH port. To do this, go into the list of Inputs, and enable the port named pH2. This will disable the port named ORP. Now just plug in your 2nd pH probe and calibrate it like normal.

Hi! I picked up a used apex and finally got it going. My pH probe will not calibrate on pH but if I go in and try as pH2 it will calibrate. Before figuring this out I threw out the old probes and bought new (likely bad since 2018). When I activate pH2 it deactivates ORP. I guess this explains it. Any suggestion on how to get both to display? I’ve reset the apex about 682 times.

The pH2 input and ORP input are both tied to the same physical BNC connector, so you have to choose one or the other.

When you say it won't calibrate when connected to the dedicated pH port, what did it do? Have you tried manual calibration from the Advanced tab instead of automatic calibration? That may help.

Yes I’ve tried manual calibration and it says communication error.
