Dead corals? Dying sick?

For a bit after you get new pieces keep them in low light/flow areas to help them settle in. And don't lose hope! I got a hammer and it looked as dead as could be. I was about to throw it in the trash but decided to chuck it behind my rock work out of sight out of mind. Well to my surprise it started to heal up and re grow! It takes time though so be patient and try not to mess with it every day. Just let it be for a while.

Here is the one I almost threw out, it's even bigger now that last picture was like a month ago.

Little progress is better than no progress! It'll take some time to fully come out. It's going in the right direction for you! I know it sucks to be patient when you only have a few corals in there and you watch them day in and day out like COME OUT POLYPS!!!. Just give it some time it will likely be one of your favorite pieces (I know mine is). That and my Duncan!

Nice! Just use that torch as a baseline for now, as long as it looks happy, the hammer should like similar water qualities as the torch. So as long as your torch is extended and happy like it is in that picture just let the hammer do its thing.

Yeah

Update: Opened up enough that it can wave around in the current a little bit. Hows it looking?

I use instant ocean reef crystals and I have been told they have enough calcium and trace supplements for now.
