Dead dart fish killed by one or the other

Recent additions yellow watchman goby pistol shrimp small or emerald

He was chewed up I’ve had this fish for three months no problems this fish lives in rock work and the yellow watchman goby does bully he might be getting out of my tank today

Bump I am most certain I’m thinking emerald or pistol shrimp but the shrimp is no bigger then an inch

What’s the full tank stocking?
Any change in behavior? Have you noticed any aggression? Were new additions quarantined?

It’s highly unlikely the shrimp or crab are at fault. The shrimp is basically blind, and the crab isn’t built for catching fish. Either will scavenge off of a body.

@Sharkbait19 So this fish lived and sleeps in the rockwork where emerald hangs the attack happened at night no fish did not go through qt but this fish was healthy always out and eating my stocking list is banggai citron goby purple belly wrasse yellow watchman goby the biggest bully is YWG the newest to the tank was the pistol shrimp

Curious - where did you find the fish? Was it out on the sandbed or still near it’s cave?
It’s possible it got startled and hit its head too hard.

On the sand bed in the corner back tank chewed up I’ve recently been finding chewed up hermits also I just made the call to lfs there tank ywg pistol and the crab

@Sharkbait19 so after hunting and hunting ripping apart rock work I can’t find my emerald anywhere in my tank also have no sign of the pistol shrimp I added I doubt it was the shrimp because how tiny it is

Both are great at hiding. I wouldn’t worry about getting rid of them - they are virtually harmless to everything but already sick and dying fish.
Emeralds can be menaces, but more towards coral and other inverts.
How big was the emerald compared to the dartfish?

I doubt an emerald that size could do it - maybe if it were the other way around.

So it’s funny I started looking through my photos and found no photos of him these are the only photos and are of no use
