Is this coral dead or dying? Could it recover, and how long could it take if it can recover? Thanks.

I don’t think my tank parameters would mean anything for this coral. I just put it in the tank. The picture is how it arrived. I ordered it online.
I’m mainly wondering if it looks like it could recover or if I should get a refund.

I would notify the seller right away. It looks in pretty bad shape and wether it could recover or not its only a matter of time but no seller will honor a guarantee if not contacted automatically upon delivery.

Okay, well it's likely it's stressed and possibly a little roughed up from shipping. Time will tell of it can adjust to your systems water parameters and lighting.
