So my one of my 500w azoo titaniums decided to start tripping my gfi today. So that being said I am going to by all new heaters. I am going to also buy a ranco dual stage controller to plug them in to. These are the options I am looking at...

3- 250watt Ebo jager. 2 on Ranco in the sump the garage, 1 on rkl inside overflow.
2-Blueline 500w Titaniums on ranco (or comparable titanium without built in thermostat).
Right now I am leaning towards the ebo jager as I have heard such great things about them. What does everyone think?

Make sure you check on the length of them, the Jaggers seem to be a longer heater then most there same wattage. I have 2 250w Jeggers and they are too long to use in my sump/fuge where I keep my heaters, and they are not submersible to lay horizontally according to the UL listing.

See I thought about that but according to eheims website, they are fully submersible. From their website:

  • The temperature can be precisely adjusted from 18° to 34°C and readjusted if required. The control accuracy is +/- 0.5°C.
  • The heat is controlled to a constant temperature. The heating function is indicated by an on/off control lamp
  • The heater can be fully immersed, is protected against running dry and is suitable for fresh or marine water.
  • The glass jacket enlarges the geating surface and ensures optimum even heat transfer. Thus, a smaller wattage than other brands will heat the same volume of water.
  • Jacket of laboratory safety glass
