Newly cycled tank, 0s across the board. Salinity.026, temp 77. Got snails from store to tank in about 10 minutes, floated for 20 and they was all crawling around, then dropped them in like normal. This has been they way I've always done my snails and they start roaming almost instantly. This time they have all been sitting in the same spots for about 6 hours now. Ceriths, nerites, nassarius. Is something like this normal behavior? Or do you think they are toast? I'm debating leaving them there till the morning and if they don't move toss them, it's a newly cycled tank so don't want a dead snail to spike my water again lol

Did you drip or cup acclimate them by adding tank water to the water in their bag gradually or was it only temperature acclimation by floating the bag in the tank as you described? Inverts in particular are extremely sensitive to differing water parameters such as ph, salinity & temp.

Did strictly temperature by floating bag as that's been my habit for past snails. Thinking I should t do that anymore lol
