Dead rock question

awhile back I bought a tank and it came with live rock and it had some soft corals on it.

Well I put it in a tank with s/w and left it. Well things came up and I didn’t use it.

Now that I’m cycling a system can that rock be added?

It was always wet but the water did get very cold as it was in the garage.

I would give a couple days in fresh SW and test for nitrates and phos, if all good I would have no problem adding it.
