Hi, all my snails I just purchased from my local lfs died..... I know how sensitive inverts are to acclimation, ph, s.g. Salinity and metals. I'm within limits of my water parameters compared to my lfs. I'm pretty sure my acclimation time was not long enough though. Now I don't have an rodi unit or an auto top off and I'm wondering if this would really help me to keep sps, shrimp snails etc. None of which I have had good luck keeping. And as far as the supposed dead snails it's been about three days since I added them and I'm wondering if I should remove them from my tank... I do have hard water in the home I'm renting. Any thoughts and suggestions are appreciated thanks.

RO/DI unit is one of the most important things you can purchase. I'd put that first on the list. The ATO is really for your convenience, unless you are going to dose with it. Do you have a skimmer? If there are enough dead snails in your tank and you have no clean up crew, they can cause an ammonia spike, so you may want to remove them.

I do but it's the seaclone 100. I am going to purchase a better one but I'm limited in space in my sump.. Any recommendations on a great compact skimmer would be great

How much room do you have (in inches)? And what size is your tank?

90 dt 29 sump. Height in the sump area is about 25-28 inches. And I have two possible chambers to hold a skimmer. 8"x11" where my skimmer is now and 15"x11" where my fuge is now

There are plenty of under sink units out there to choose from, no worries there, but you'll have to rig up a container big enough to hold the water needed for your top offs and water changes, which will be right out inthe open, because it will be to big to fit under your sink.
Go with the bigger chamber for the skimmer, the bigger you can stuff in there the better off you will be.
