Dead turbo snail and shell

Hi everyone. My turbo snail died and hermit crab eat half of it. I removed snail, boiled and after shaking rest of pieces came out. After that I put it for few minutes in winegear and boiled again. I want to use that shell for crab. It has no smell anymore. Is it safe to return it to tank? Or I should do something more?

Welcome to R2R! I personally would have let the hermit finish it's dinner and move into it's new home. Wouldn't hurt to add a few empty shells from the LFS (they'll usually give you some) for the hermits to move into.

It's a bit late I already made boiling and winegear. It's safe to add now to tank?

Not familiar with winegear, but shouldn't be a problem. Just rinse it off.
