I haven't seen my long spine urchin in about 3 weeks or so. I'm pretty sure he didn't make it, he wasn't looking good... He was dropping spines (I think he was starving).

Would you tear your aquascape apart to try to find him? He wasn't huge... About the size of quarter with spines about 2 inches.

I’m curious when you say starving how much algae growth do you have?
I feed my urchin some seaweed every now and then I have plenty of algae for him to eat but a little extra green never hurts

We had a ton of algae but we moved and in the process it all vanished. I tried to supplement with seaweed but now I don't know where he is so I don't know where to put it so he can find it.

I see if he is gone I hope the CUC did take care of it for you a dead urchin can be a bad situation test your water to make sure everything is ok

I don't really have much of a clean up crew left, they didn't survive the move either. That's why I'm wondering if I should treat it all apart and try to find him
