What do you guys think? Is that a sign they are slowly dying off?

Not good. How old is the tank? What's your water pramameters?

They were doing pretty good until recently [emoji24]

Prams all checked out.
Weekly water change as well.

I do notice the outburst of algae recently keeps coming back despite much efforts to clear them..

It just shifted again, I been observing and it is moving
It's not dead but looks to be dying..

+1 tank age,parameters,lighting,etc..
That nems on his way out...

I have to agree with our friend here. Usually, I'm the first to step up and say don't give up the ship, but poor fella is not well at all and I'm sorry you and it are having problems. Honestly, I am.

Just be prepared to capture a full out a failure of it before your tank is fouled.

I been using chemi pure blue nano and filter floss, and I got a skimmer for the tank as well. My 2 clowns and snails and hermit crab are doing well,

I will do another test and post the param when I get home.
I think the kenya gree is pretty much done.. I am going to pull it out.. though the nems might have a figting chance

I know it's not the best, but from reviews, it's good overall, at least it can sustain. I don't think it's the light.. I think it's those brown algae killing it

I’ve never heard of brown algea outcompeting Nem or softies. Beside lighting, filtration could be the second thing to look at, water para is not too stable in small tank like that. I think you should post your parameter so everyone can help you out
