Maybe not the deal of a life time but probably the best deal ive ever gotten. I been wanting to setup a frag tank and kept going back and forth whether or not i should invest a bunch of money into it at this time. At least 3 times i have filled up my cart and almost clicked “place purchase”. Good thing i didnt. On offerup i was able to find a cool dood in the process of moving and wanted all his aquarium equipment gone. So much good stuff if i had the space i would have picked up so much more. I ended up getting a nuvo fusion 20 with stand with intank baskets, a small koralia Powerhead, refractometer, reef roids, an icecap 1k gyre, a nanobox duo light, a 24” 4bulb t5 fixture, a 48” 4 bulb t5 fixture and some glue accelerator. All for $170. Its used and needs to be cleaned but ill have it sparkling in no time. I keep reading that its best to plumb frag tanks separate from my RSR170 and i totally get the reasoning for it. But im kind of wanting to plumb them together for less maintenance, less equpment, and if plumbed, together my apex will monitor both tanks. What do you guys think? Also any thoughts/tips/advice on using an aio for a frag tank? Thanks in advance guys. Heres a pic of my haul.

That's a great deal!! There was a local reefer selling one for $300 no stand or extras. If you're thinking of plumbing together It might not be pretty but it isn't an issue in my opinion as long as you do it right. Depending on what you have in mind, you just need to watch your water levels, in this instance, you'll treat it as another sump constantly cycling water through 3 tanks.

What are you thinking in terms of flow from your RS170 to the 25?

Im not exactly sure lol. My return pump in the 170 is a cor 15. Im curious if i can split it, half going into the frag tank half going into the display tank. If not i maybe going with another cor15 or a reef octopus varios. So many options and possible routes im curious on everyones input. Which route would you take?
