I have a single aptasia growing on a frag with some zoas/palys.

I can easily take that rock out to treat the issue, so how do i kill the aptasia without it releasing spores or anything onto the rock while i kill it?

I don't think it matters if you remove It outside the tank
Wash it out with tank water with frag upside down
I have done it many times

Can you carefully chip off the piece of the rock where it is growing? Kalk paste? Aiptasia X (this is what I use)? Peppermint shrimp (just be sure to get the right species)? I also have peppermints who love the stuff.

Take it out and pop it off with a razor knife Id it's easy to get out.

IMO always mixed luck on spitting.
With only one in the tank it's quite likely somthing is eating the babies.

Can I have your shrimp. Mine didn't get the memo.

Ill pull the rock and try to scrape it off, then place kalk paste on it and epoxy over that
Lol. Killing with fire.

They don't root like a hydroid , it's an anamonae. If you pop the little booger ball with a piece of the rock it's on you'll be fine.
Unless you have napalm. Then use that.

Hey man, I've tried easiest route for things and it has backfired, the last thing I need right now is a tank full of byropsis AND aptasia

I'm with ya man. I used the fluconazole for the bryo. So now I can finally see the aptasia. And the peppermint shrimp that doesn't eat them. :(

Lol. Thanks.
Other side of the country, maybe I should look at getting mine some you tube videos or something.
