Dealing with barnicals

So what have u done if u get a torch with a barnical? I recently got one and I'm going to attempt to cut it out.

Has anyone just glued them shut and left them?

Going to take pics of the process and weeks that follow

I just leave them, usually they don’t harm the coral.
