Death by 1000 Bubble Algae

Have you ever had bubble algae? Well, I did and I could not get ride of it. I had Marco rock and the little buggers were so deep in the rocks I couldn’t even pop them. I finally gave up after 2 months of fighting and threw all my rock in the trash. Here are the images of the current state. Let me know about your bauble algae experience. I didn’t trust vibrant due to all of the crazy stories out there.

I had a nasty case of bubble algea and red turf algae, I tossed about 50 of my rock, got some new clean up crew. The coupl rocks that still had any sign of algae on them were cleaned up in about 2 days.

I was seriously thinking of tossing all of it myself and getting what they call live rock nowadays from a few places in order to get some diversity.

I guess if you have no fish you should be OK. I've got some bubble algae too.

Had some just kept up on them by manual removal cannot say they do not exist in my system but if they do I have not seen them and if I do then I will remove them.

I feel like it’s a forever fight, when I first saw them in my tank, I didn’t think much of it, but then they exploded and now when i see one I grab it ASAP.

I have noticed that over time most supposed invasive algae and invertebrates seem to reach a point of growth that limits one overtaking the other and a balance is achieved I have some aptasia in one of the two small filters I use and none in tank although I had some in the system previously maybe the peppermint shrimp I have helps but I am not sure my tank might look like crap but I have success coral,a fish and small invertebrates that do very well
