Laugh or snicker if you must. That's fine. Not just a super-mega-awesome name. The Death Lemon is at your door. No one knows where it came from, or where its headed next.

Oddball and menacingly yellow tipped bottle. Wondering if that one guy who yelled at me about the Toxic Pop will come back out of the woodwork for this one...

How do you keep your yellows yellow? My yellows turn bright, metallic, green.

Hey Matt,

I think sometimes is genetics and sometimes it's light. Any yellows I've been able to pull out and sustain were getting hit really hard with light. Either 10k or 65k halides or LEDs at 100%. Not always the solution but has been the most consistent factor for yellows in my systems at least.

On another note, 65k halides would probally bring out the yellow in everything lol, even with the greenish tint under a 14k or 20k i would bet they look great

Aesthetically yes. Anything green will appear a lot more muted under 65k's but I believe the actual "punch" of the bulb itself pulls the yellow out if it's in there. I mean green is green and if it's a green coral, no amount of light will turn it yellow.

But extra high light can persuade stubborn yellows to become less green for sure

Question: are you referring to your genetics or the corals. Just looking for a little clarity.
