There is a debate going about the quantity of rocks being placed in a tank I am setting up. First salt tank. What better way to settle it but ask for opinions on the internet. Haha!

So does the below have to much rock? Bonus question which one looks better?
A note on the second one. There are a lot of voids in the rock depending on the angle you look at. Carib Sea south sea base rock.

I like the first one better, and no - I don't think it's too much rock. I don't know what the size of the tank is or how many lbs of rock you've used, but as long as there's lots of caves, nooks and ledges for fish to hide in and amongst you'll be fine.

32 Gallon Biocube. Ordered 40lbs of rock as wanted option of various sizes and shapes. First one is probably 20ish pounds. Second is 25is based on how many boxes are left.

Personally I would take the top three rocks off number 1. Rule of thumb is 1lb per gallon. As to flow that's a loaded question hope you have a lot of time to read lol. It depends on what you are going to grow to start with. Lots of info all over this Forum on that subject

Although I like top photo and even 3rd pic. . . They lack one thing- H I D I N G.
Be sure to provide hiding for occupants especially what they will be looking for upon introduction or from Aggression otherwise laid out nicely

Yeah, need to see if I can do that in the tank. Not sure I can the scape again after taking it apart.
