Debating adding UV to my New Reefer XL 425

On my 29 Gallon Reef I had a massively over-powered UV that I would run on occasion when I needed to.

I'm considering adding an in-line UV to my return line 24/7 on my new reefer tank.

The one I'm looking at is the Aqua UV Classic 25 Watt with 3/4" inlet/outlet -> https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006JDVR4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

I'm a bit concerned about how much it may restrict the flow from my return though so I was also considering getting a smaller pump to run the UV - perhaps pulling water out of and returning it back to the skimmer area of my sump. I figure I can go with a much lower flow rate for much more effective use of the UV if I did this - but I wouldn't be passing all tank water through the UV as often as I would if it were in the return.

What are your thoughts? The UV is a bit spendy but if it helps keep the water clear and helps head off bad algaes/dinos/etc - I'm happy.

I think putting it on another Reef Octopus Varios 2 pump would work well - I could have it re-circulate in the return area or I could put it in the sump area - but the installation should be pretty easy and won't affect my return rate if I do that... Now ... to determine if it's worth the cost .

I went with the 2" Aqua UV Classic and then used reducing bushings to fit my 1" return line. Easy and inexpensive way to avoid restricting return flow.
