Debating on using carbon

The main reason I use Carbon is to Remove any Chemical Warfare Toxins emited by the Various Corals in my tank, Other than this I see no reason to as long as you are regular with your Water changes. It is also useful in maintaining Crystal clear water and for this reason I see no harm in using it full time, I change mine out monthly.

That is a extreemly good point and one of the best reasons to use carbon is coral Allelopathy.

as i remember the HLLE in freshwater fish is actually different than the HLLE in Marine fish .. and the HLLE related to carbon was from the carbon dust which is why ur suppose to rinse your carbon b4 using it.

I have my carbon in a phosban reactor from two little fishes and I run it 4 hours a day at night.
