Decent Tripod??

Here is the picture...The tripod will go a good bit higher than it is in the photo. It will even go low enough that the lens will actually touch the ground. Great for bug and flower macros. I know that the cost is still a bit high and I had trouble pulling the trigger but I am glad I did. And just to let you know, the ball head on my tripod will hold my D200 with grip and a Tamron 90mm macro without slipping.

If you dont mind I have a couple questions. Does it have a spot for counter weights? Also when you are not doing top down shots how do you liike it as a normal tripod?

No place for a counter weight but I would think it shouldn't be hard to fashion something if your handy. I actually have only used it for top downs once in my frog tank. Otherwise I use it ALOT as a normal tripod and I love it. Rock solid and easy to setup. It goes down very low too so you can get close to the ground for macros or whatever you need at a lower height. I am 110% happy with the purchase of this tripod. The only con at this point is the weight. It is aluminum so it is a little on the heavy side but not that bad. There is the same model available in carbon fiber however the price is much more.
