Deciding between a return pump or wavemaker

Hello everyone,
I have a Nuvo 10 gallon tank with softies and LPS. Currently running the stock return pump which is too weak to tackle dead spots in the tank.
I plan to upgrade my tank in the future to a 15 peninsula or 20. Thinking of the future should, should I go for a sicce 0.5/1 return pump or a jebao slw-10 wavemaker.

It would give a more random flow when added to the flow you have already.

Unfortunately I do not have experience with that power head or your size of setup so I cannot give a recommendation exactly on that.

Hopefully a few other people may chime in.
