Deciding between different innovative marine aquariums

Hey guys I need help deciding between an innovative marine fusion 40/ext and a lagoon 50 ext. The lagoon 50ext is selling right now with the stand for $1300 Canadian while the 40 ext is $800 alone for the tank. I cant decide if that extra 2 inches of height will be a big deal or not. What are your thoughts

I will say some time ago, I had a standard FO 55 gallon tank. Now, I have a 55 high. Every one of those extra inches made a significant difference in building my reef of Marco Rock.

Personably, I like a tank with less height. I think they’re better looking and easier to clean; however, like previously mentioned a short tank limits your aquascape. Also, going with a longer tank helps with oxygen exchange. You get a better water surface area. Go long!
