I'm debating on getting the Eshopps Refugium R-100 3rd generation for my 90 gallon mixed reef. Any thoughts?

should look into elite aquatics or synergy reef they make high quality sumps. Also, you can contact them here on R2R if you have any questions or want a custom sump.

Thanks but I just ordered this right now it caught my eye and I like the design and synergy is out of my budget

First figure out the equipment you are going to use, return pump, skimmer and make sure the sump holds it. I don't have a refugium but I use a glass tank and put my own partitions in it.

Easy and cheap to make your own sump. I am all thumbs so when I say east it's easy. Get the biggest aquarium you can fit in your stand under the main aquarium. For my 90 I had a 40 gallon. Measure the inside, and go to Lowes and have them cut glass just a tad narrower. They have all sorts of choice. Use the glass to make baffles, and place them where you want. Silicone in place. Here is a picture of how I modded a tank to hide all the intakes and heaters to have an anemone safe tank.

+1 on the Adv-100 just got mine for a 75 gal last week. ...I really like the design. ..hope its as quite as they say

Still in the box. ...hoping to start my tank up this weekend! I will unbox it tomorrow and take a few for you! I liked the built in holders and float valve..i will feed my ato line to it as well as have a pressure switch for the ato controller....but it's just a little reassurance

What kind of overflow?
I was going to use a Hofer over flow but it wasn't flowing fast enough, I have the parts to do a Durso tomorrow. but for tonight I'm just running it with a short piece of open pipe to do a leak test. (My return pump is waaay to powerful!)

I just purchased the Tideline 36 by Trigger Systems for my 80g, it'll be in Thursday. :) It's everything I wanted for a great price, costs a bit more than your Eshopps though.

I agree they are more functional.
Premium Aquatics carries the Elite aquatics sumps.
