Soo while my tank is cycling, id like to see if anyone has any options or opinions on fish (i probably have no idea exsist) that i may could get for my tank once established, there is a few fish i have on the top of my list though,

Which are:
Pair Clownfish (unsure on what color yet, might get a black one and orange one)
1-2 Chromish fish (unsure on what types yet)
I defiantly wanna get a Scooter blenny for sure! theyre awesome!
Cleaner shrimp, snails hermits and other smaller inverts!

but dont wanna overstock so probably have around 3-4 maybe 5 fish depending on size and a few bottom dwellers then in the future anemones

what yall think

oh yeah sorry forgot to mention that!

Tank size 20G (temporary as this is my first tank) but im planning on upgrading after a few months to a year to a (40G or a bigger tank)

I would do the pair of clowns and the scooter. I would recommend jump starting your pod population, then the clowns and after a few weeks, add the scooter last. The tisbe pods usually take about 9 days if, I'm not mistaken, to go from babies to adults. If you give them some time their population will increase quickly.

Even with a couple weeks to jump start your pod population, I would still recommend that you feed your scooter an outside food source, so make sure you buy one that accepts an outside food source. Scooters grow pretty fast if fed well. Its pretty common to see scooters do well at first because of your tanks pod population but because they can grow rather quickly, they'll reach a size that will decimate your pods and eventually starve.

I've given you a general rundown on the scooter but make sure you do more research on this fish so that you can sustain it properly.

whats "Pods"??

My Scooter eats pellets and LRS Reef Frenzy, she's doing well in my 20 gallon with a pair of clownfish. I do have a fuge with lots of pods also.

A shrimp goby and pistol shrimp would add some interesting behavior to your tank. I prefer the Orange-spotted shrimp goby, but any of them will work.

whats "Pods"??

Scooter blennys hunt small creatures generally called copepods. The main diet of Scooter Blennies and dragonets in the wild are copepods. These fish can be very picky and once they run out of copepods in your tank, they will starve. Unless you can buy one eating frozen food or pellet food, they will eventually starve after they eat all these copepods. You will want to read up more on the scooter blenny or similar fish like it like the red/green dragonets.

There's a full tank shot, I don't have any pictures of the Scooter blenny. 20g is a nice size, but I'm itching to upgrade haha
