Are there any reef safe decorations to temporarily add to a reef tank? For example santa clause or the grinch ? where do you buy them ?

First, welcome to R2R!!! Personally, to be safe I would be careful about what is added in to the tank. You may consider using themed clings on the outside of the tank, using wrapping paper for a background, or putting ribbons or garland around the tank (not where the bits of garland can get in the tank). Realize that your livestock and water quality is the most important so whatever choice that you make keep that in mind. Good luck with whatever you decide and if you do decide to go forward with decorating the tank, please consider sharing pictures!

Be careful. Just because a pet store sells it for putting in a tank does not mean it’s safe. I was in a national pet chain today and saw Santa hats and decor covered in glitter. I picked one up and my hand was covered in glitter. That is not fish safe!
